CHAPTER 03 · THE STORY

About this project.

Football Conquest started as a tool to make better videos. It turned into something the community could play with too.

Who made this

Hi, I'm Gürkan. I run two YouTube channels focused on offline EA Sports FC content:

Combined, the channels reach more than 700,000 subscribers who care a lot about offline FC content: career-mode runs, club rebuilds, World Cup simulations, and the kind of Imperialism format you're holding in your hand right now.

Why we built it

The Imperialism format — a single team trying to conquer the world one match at a time — has been a fan favourite for years. But making it on video was hard. You needed Photoshop, a 30,000-pixel map file, and a lot of patience between matches to manually paint conquered territory and reposition flags.

This simulator does all of that automatically. Pick your team, play the matches in FC 26, enter the scores, and the map updates itself. What used to take 20 minutes between matches now takes 20 seconds.

Then it occurred to me: if this is useful for me as a creator, it's probably fun for fans too. Free in your browser, no install, no sign-up. Pick a team and see how far you can take them.

The format, codified

Football Imperialism as a format has loose rules — different creators do it different ways. Football Conquest codifies a specific ruleset:

The rules aren't arbitrary — they're tuned to produce stories. Close matchups go to extra time more often. Underdogs winning produce tight 1–0 scorelines, not blowouts. Big empires can absorb a couple of losses before collapsing.

What's next

This is a starting point. On the roadmap:
